Maths Reflection

WALT:Reflect on what we did for Maths.

Today in the middle block Kia Manawanui had maths, what we did for maths was worksheet we had to catch up with and the worksheet we did was all about Adding and subtracting decimals. 

I found it very fun because I got 2 pages done. What I found challenging was subtracting decimals because some were easy some were hard.

 The question I was stuck was 112.5 - 27.60, It was really hard for me but then I got helped from others. I really think I have improved in my Maths skills because Im getting use to using Maths languages and answering question quicker than before.

Maths (Reflection)

WALT: Pick a activity to help with your Maths.

Today in the middle block Kia Manawanui had Maths. Some of the Kia Manawanui students were gone to Kapa Haka and some stayed. First we had an division sheet and we had to fill it in by 8 minutes. I found it pretty challenging because I don't really like doing maths but at least I tried my best. I did only 3 lines and a bit and I think I did pretty. 

After filling out our sheets I got put into a group and we were allowed to pick any Maths games to work on so we did a game that I called Answer The Dice. So how play is that you have 2 dice and you roll it on the table and if the 2 dice stop you have to Multiply the number on the 2 dice try get the answer. For e.g. If I roll the 2 dice and it is 6 x 6 that will equal 36 so it all about who gets it fast. I got 24 point and the other got under 10.

PAT MATHS TEST - REFLECTION!!

WALT: Reflect on what we did for our PAT Maths test.

Today in the first block we had our P.A.T Maths test. I was pretty nervous because I kind of hate Maths. What I found easy during our P.A.T Maths test was working on the test and some answer was easy. What I found challenging was a question that I didn't even know about the question. 

I was stuck until I had a growth mindset and I started to think about it and I got an answer. What I need to improve was to always complete my work faster because I had 6 more minutes to complete 10 questions. I really had fun doing this test because I was really focused on my task.

Maths Reflection

Today we had maths and my Follow up Task was called A sticky Problem and is was a follow up task about this girl called Rachel and she was selling some Fudge.If you don't know what fudge is, fudge is something you eat and it like sticky and it is like a small chocolate bar.

Today me and my class was doing maths and that we were learning about how to find Fraction of a set using multiplication and division.

And what I was struggling was 2/5 of 75 and then I knew what to start with so I first went 1/5 of  75 and it was 15 because 5 x 15 is 75.Then I went 1/5 of 75 if 15 and then I knew the 2/5 of 75 and it equal 30 because 15 x 2 equal 30 and I got the 2 from the 2/5.

Answer: 30

Maths Reflection (Maths Buddy Speed Skills) (Level 1 & 2)

IALT:try get better at my Addition and my Multiplication Facts. 

Today we had maths and some of our class had to jump on Maths Buddy for Speedskills Or Xtramaths.So I was on both and I did pretty well on Xtramaths because for addition I had no errors but when I had to race the teacher I had a few wrongs. Then after Xtramaths I was on Speed Skills and that was actually my first time on Speed Skills and for Addition I got 37 and for Level 2 Multiplication I just got 17 Right and so I was better on Addition but now I need to work on Multiplications now.

Today I had Maths question and activity to follow up and I just did 3 answers on my netbook and 8 answers that I have got but the 2 activities that I did was kind of hard because I wasn't good at Multiplication but I wanted to show resilience and tried my best and I got the answer.

Maths Reflection

Today I am going to reflect about our Maths.

At the middle block of School; which is after Morning Tea one of our teacher called Miss Aireen was Observing Miss Komor with our learning.I was so nervous that I did not want to go up to the table.But as soon as I heard My name I went and got ready.It was so fun when I got there because the question Miss Komor did was the question I already Answered but then I kind of got confused.It was fun working with my teacher Miss Komor and Miss Aireen observing us I really liked it.But then miss Aireen made a hard question and then all of us started to stuggle.I was so nervous that I am going to get in wrong in front of my group but actually Me and my buddy got it right.But the level we did it was the starting level.So Miss Aireen showed us a quicker way of doing and that was a level 6 Standard.
