Poetry (Reflection)

WALT:Reflect on what we did with my Poem.
Last week we had to record our poem we did last week, and my poem was about floods. What I needed in my poem was  figurative language like Similes, Metaphors, Onomatopoeia and more like Alliteration. We had to put Punctuation in my poem because when the audience read it they will read it fast so we it is important to use Punctuation.

Tai Chi Reflection - By Tevita & Lofa

WALT: Reflect on what we did at TAI CHI/KUNG FU

the Kia Manawanui boys had Tai Chi and we were 5 to 8 minutes late. When we got there we had to do our warm up breaves and the name for it was Earth,Sky,Monkey wash and there was heaps more but I don't know what it is called.

What I learned was to always  go on time with our stance because sometimes I go faster or slower.Next time I should encourage my mates so they can get more encourage from me and my other mates so the feel more safe when they are doing there moves.

What I think I improved was getting focused and not laughing at anything with my mates. The second thing I think I did well was doing our stance well. The only one thing I should improve is moving in the same side everyone is going because when they do right I always do left so I need to improve.

Kiwisport/Cricket - Reflection!!! - By Tevita

Today in the morning Kia Manawanui had Cricket and Tennis. Home group one had Tennis and home group two had Tricket.I am in the group 2 so we had Cricket first. The first batters was and Edith and the rest was feilding. What I found the challenging for me was trying catching the ball because I wasn't focused on the batters hitting the ball I was focused on doing my fortnite moves. So that is one thing I need to work on when I am playing cricket. Cricket was fun because I was just playing around and doing anything with Demetrius.

Our 2nd lesson what Tennis and it was our Kiwisport. It was our 3rd lesson for kiwisport and our Instructor was Peter, Peter is a really sporty man that is always focused on what he is doing. Our first activity was a Volley, what we had to do for the volley was we had to do for volley was hit the ball slowly and we had to make it gentle. What I was confused on for Tennis was when we had to put the racket in front of us then hit it sideways. I was confused on it because I am usually just hit it sideways but I had to put the racket front then hit it sideways.

Technology - Reflection

Yesterday the 8th of March we had technology and I was in Hard Materials and our teacher was Mr grundy. What we were making was Necklaces and I made a Cross and I am still working on cutting the cross. Here is the picture I am doing for my necklace. And if you didn't know why I did this necklace I did it for my sisters 16th Birthday.

What I found challenging was cutting the wood because it was always cricket and I was pretty nervous because it is very sharp and the machine can  stab you 25 times in a half of 1 second. The one thing I really need to improve is to don't get distracted while I’m cutting because I might cut my finger.

Image result for Tongan tag20 2017
Tomorrow I have a Tournament at Ellerslie Eagles and it is a Pacific Cup Tournament and we have other teams were versing. For my team I am in pool A and the teams were versing is Niue,Cook Island,Samoa and Tokelau.  For my team it is all Islander and some are Palangi and they are very good at playing. We were undefeated last year and our intense game last year was Niue because there was some fights against each others.

Our first game is against Samoa and we never have fight with them because our team and their team are always humble because we don't want troubles with other people. OUr second game is Tokelau and they are a good team but they never share the ball to their teammates. What I think will find me challenging tomorrow is stepping because when I step with my boots it is pretty hard. I just can't wait until tomorrow.

Fun day at Pools - Reflection

Last week 27th of February Tamaki Primary school went to the pools and Panmure Lagoon/Swimarama Pools. First went we got there we had to come in together and we had to listen to our instructor because she gave us very important safety rules of what we should do in the pool. The rules she gave us was no running because we might slip and get injured the second rule was to use the stage because we are not allow to bomp or dive. The 3rd thing she was talking about was where the bathrooms are but we didn't need any worries about that because we already know where it was.

First what we did was our tryathlon. Basicly for our tryathlon we have a half run in the basin then we swim but we couldn't because they couldn't open the gate and then we made some competition and there was 5 group and I was in group 4 and our first competition was trying to run in the pool to the other side. After all of our races we had morning tea and then it was switch over the middle syndicate was on the slide we had free time on the bigger pools and the little kids was on the small pools.

When we were playing around it started to go to a competition when the boys vs girls in volleyball and then after that me and my cousin Demetrius was looking for a noodle to play so we found a noodle and we started to play catch the fish. What I found  challenging was when I was getting dragged from Demetrius and I had to try escape before he make it to the other end but luckily I made it in the half way.

P.E Reflection

WALT:Reflect on what we did at kiwisport and P.E.

Today we had Kiwisport and P.E but P.E was not softball it was Cricket because our tournament is going to be Cricket and Colin Maiden Park. So group 1 had Kiwisport and it was still tennis and group 2 had P.E. If you have seen my blog before about it I was in group 2 and I am still in group 2 so we had P.E and first we had some little drills so our group each had a ball and we had to practice our catching.

What I found challenging for cricket was throwing the ball far because my thumb was sore because a bone popped out but then in the weekend I went to the doctors and it got healed but it was still sore. After all of the drill we had a game and we were batting and I just got 3 runs because we had small time to play.

PAT MATHS TEST - REFLECTION!!

WALT: Reflect on what we did for our PAT Maths test.

Image result for Maths
Today in the first block we had our P.A.T Maths test. I was pretty nervous because I kind of hate Maths. What I found easy during our P.A.T Maths test was working on the test and some answer was easy. What I found challenging was a question that I didn't even know about the question.

Image result for MathsI was stuck until I had a growth mindset and I started to think about it and I got an answer. What I need to improve was to always complete my work faster because I had 6 more minutes to complete 10 questions. I really had fun doing this test because I was really focused on my task.

Class Treaty Reflection

IALT:reflect on our Class Treaty

Today we had our class treaty last week and it was about our rules for Kia Manawanui. So our class treaty was basically all about what we should agree to always do the right thing when know one is looking as if following our rules and not breaking our class treaty. This term we have actually not even breaked a single rule because we signed it and now we follow it.

So Kia Manawanui had to sign our treaty. As you guys know it is like the Waitangi treaty as they agree on the rules and they signed the treaty. As you guys can see our main words are TEAM,POLITE,TRUST and LEAD. Our class always works as a team and we are polite to others and we lead the little kids the right way at school. We actually always trust others because we know they are trustworthy.

Whanau Gathering - Make Connections TONIGHT!!!!

WALT:Write about what will happen today afternoon.

Today we are having our Whanau gathering today at 5:30pm. We are having our Whanau gathering today because we want our parents to come and look at what we have done this year for school. SO we had to finish off our Pepeha,Quilt and our Bio poem. I have finished all of my task so I always help others so they can get that work finish before our Whanau gathering.
Image result for 5:30

What I was confused on was when I was working on my Bio poem photo because I didn't know what to put on but luckily I had a idea and finally finished and it was funny when I looked at it. But I am just hoping that my parents would like my drawing because they think that I am really good at drawing patterns because I always paint our Tapa/Ngatu at home.

Kiwisport/P.E Reflection

WALT: Reflect on our Kiwisport and P.E
Image result for Kiwisport

Today we had Kiwisport and a P.E so group 1 first had Kiwisport and group 2 have P.E. I was in group 2 and we had P.E. First we had to run around the track and then we had to do some stretchers which is Walking Lunges and other stretchers but I didn't know what the name are. After the stretchers we had to get a Softball mat and a Softball bat and we had to practice our hittings but softly. Me and Toma was a little bit rough on hitting because it was a tennis ball we were hitting and then it went over the containers were our Bike shed is.

After all of my group had a turn we had to put the bat where is was and we played a little softball game. The boys was outside fielding and the girls were batting so our bowler was Toma he was really good at bowling so we played and then we got 3 girls out so it was the boys turn to bate what we were batting group 1 came so we didn't have time for us to bat the ball so we switched teams and went to Kiwisport.

Our Instructor for Kiwisport was Peter he looked very sporty for Tennis. Our first activity was trying to get the ball first so we Peter would do like head, shoulder knees toes  and then ball so we try get the ball in the middle before my partner. My partner was Demetrius and was really fast at getting the ball so we tied. The second activity was batting and we were batting to our partner in the other side. Our other activity was when we pick a card and if it is 10 we had to hit it 10 times perfect.Me and Deme got seven point as well as Nesi and Aletheia.

Te Tuhi Reflection

WALT:Write a reflection about our experience at Te Tuhi

Hi today we had Te Tuhi and what we learned was to always
speak clearly while we performed.
While we were performing I felt that my group was actually
confident. We actually were loud and clear during our
performance and we were not shy. The second thing that I learned
for myself was to always not laugh during performance. The last
thing I learned was to always take your time when your doing
your collage poster.

What I have learned that I can give back to our school was to
always take your time and always not laughing when your
performing
because if you actually performed you will not be laughing you
would be serious on performance. What I would like to spend
time on for Te Tuhi was practicing my impression on my
performance. Why I need to work on my impression because we
want to make our performance better and interesting. What I liked doing with Salome was making our Collage poster.

Thank you for reading my Reflection.
