Broncos vs Warriors ( Holiday)

WALT: Reflect on what I did in the uncle with my family.




In the 2 week holiday I went to the Warriors vs Broncos with my Cousin,Uncle,Step Aunty that Invited me to go for my birthday on the 14th of April. Me and my cousin Demetrius knew that Broncos will definitely win against Warriors so we didn't need to worry about anything. When we got there I was a little worried about Warriors going to win because Roger Tuivasa Sheck is a very sporty fast player

 but I trust Demetrius broncos is going to win. My aunty and Uncle was always a huge warriors fan so we left them. On the first half Broncos had 14 and Warriors had 8 points. Me and Demetrius was happy. Broncos won against warriors 27 to 18, I was laughing and my uncle was saying to me and Deme that me and him is not playing next week for the game and he was I'm T boy and Deme is 
water boy but he was joking around.

Preparation of Ako Evening (Reflection)

WALT: Reflect deeply on what we prepared for our Ako Evening.

Yesterday the 12th of April Tamaki Primary School had a Ako evening which is when your parents come to your school and you show them what have you've been learning since the past few weeks for term 1. I didn't come to the Ako Evening because my older brother had parent interview at One Tree Hill on 3:30 and my mum couldn't come to the ako evening because she came back home on 6:00 and the ako evening started on 4:00 and finished on 6:00 or 6:30. 

What we prepared before the ako evening was a play but I couldn't come so it was about the panmure bridge. 

The people that was in my group was Demetrius,Akanesi,Lydia,Faka'ata,Teresa and Fine. Our group split up and Fine,Teresa and Faka'ata was working on where is the panmure bridge or what is the panmure bridge. Me, Demetrius,Akanesi and Lydia worked on the play so me and lydia was the bridge, Demetrius was the builder the builder, Faka'ata was the worm, and Akanesi and the rest was on the ship. We all worked hard but I thought I left our team down because I didn't turn up but I think they did very well at the ako evening.

Last week of Tai Chi - Lesson #7

WALT: Reflect on what we did at Tai Chi.

Today we had our last Tai chi for this week. When we got there the Kia Manawanui boys forgot to bring our Manuals because it was our last week at Tai chi and if we bring our Manuals full signed we can be in a draw to win a price. So we all forgot our Manuals at home and we were pretty disappointed that he reminded us last week and we still didn't get our manual.What we learned at Tai Chi was that we had to learn our moves we have been learning for the past few weeks off by hard.After practicing the moves we had to get a chair and sit in a semi circle and we had to come up in the middle and show our moves we have been learning. 

For me I got a 3 Very Good,4 Excellence, 1 Improve. I was very Impressed with Alo because he had heaps of excellence and he gave flavour into his action. I was shocked because Toma did it very well  but I thought when Alo did it he wanted to do it well, Toma was very good at his moves but just some he mucked but it was alright he tried his best. After all of us trying Alo got an award for putting attitude on his move so he got a grey and black cap and it has a Kung Fu Logo on it.

Tai Chi Reflection - By Tevita & Lofa

WALT: Reflect on what we did at TAI CHI/KUNG FU

the Kia Manawanui boys had Tai Chi and we were 5 to 8 minutes late. When we got there we had to do our warm up breaves and the name for it was Earth,Sky,Monkey wash and there was heaps more but I don't know what it is called. 

What I learned was to always  go on time with our stance because sometimes I go faster or slower.Next time I should encourage my mates so they can get more encourage from me and my other mates so the feel more safe when they are doing there moves. 

What I think I improved was getting focused and not laughing at anything with my mates. The second thing I think I did well was doing our stance well. The only one thing I should improve is moving in the same side everyone is going because when they do right I always do left so I need to improve.

Kiwisport/Cricket - Reflection!!! - By Tevita

Today in the morning Kia Manawanui had Cricket and Tennis. Home group one had Tennis and home group two had Tricket.I am in the group 2 so we had Cricket first. The first batters was and Edith and the rest was feilding. What I found the challenging for me was trying catching the ball because I wasn't focused on the batters hitting the ball I was focused on doing my fortnite moves. So that is one thing I need to work on when I am playing cricket. Cricket was fun because I was just playing around and doing anything with Demetrius.

Our 2nd lesson what Tennis and it was our Kiwisport. It was our 3rd lesson for kiwisport and our Instructor was Peter, Peter is a really sporty man that is always focused on what he is doing. Our first activity was a Volley, what we had to do for the volley was we had to do for volley was hit the ball slowly and we had to make it gentle. What I was confused on for Tennis was when we had to put the racket in front of us then hit it sideways. I was confused on it because I am usually just hit it sideways but I had to put the racket front then hit it sideways.

Technology - Reflection

Yesterday the 8th of March we had technology and I was in Hard Materials and our teacher was Mr grundy. What we were making was Necklaces and I made a Cross and I am still working on cutting the cross. Here is the picture I am doing for my necklace. And if you didn't know why I did this necklace I did it for my sisters 16th Birthday.

What I found challenging was cutting the wood because it was always cricket and I was pretty nervous because it is very sharp and the machine can  stab you 25 times in a half of 1 second. The one thing I really need to improve is to don't get distracted while I’m cutting because I might cut my finger.

Tag20 Tournament Coming Up on Saturday!!!

Tomorrow I have a Tournament at Ellerslie Eagles and it is a Pacific Cup Tournament and we have other teams were versing. For my team I am in pool A and the teams were versing is Niue,Cook Island,Samoa and Tokelau.  For my team it is all Islander and some are Palangi and they are very good at playing. We were undefeated last year and our intense game last year was Niue because there was some fights against each others.

Our first game is against Samoa and we never have fight with them because our team and their team are always humble because we don't want troubles with other people. OUr second game is Tokelau and they are a good team but they never share the ball to their teammates. What I think will find me challenging tomorrow is stepping because when I step with my boots it is pretty hard. I just can't wait until tomorrow.
