IALT:Reflect on what I did for my Technological World

Today me and my group have been working on our Technological World and the technology we choset was Cars. My question that I did was How has Cars changed the way we live?.

It has changed the  way we live because nowadays it makes life easier. My answer was... Cars in the old days was very different because in the past there cars was like only upto 45 hp( which is very slow) and nowadays cars can go over 200 HP/Horsepower. Cars have changed the way we live because nowadays our cars are more safe for us because in the past it was pretty dangerous.


Me and my group have been working so hard on our presentation, What I found challenging was answering my question because it was pretty confusing but then started to get more information and Ideas.

What is Technology (Reflection)

Kia ora,Talofa Lava,Malo e lelei,Fakaalofa lahi atu and greetings to you all.

WALA: Our Technological World.

Key Question: How does technology affect us??

So what we did first was we had to name 2 Technology you use everyday. The 2 

technology I use everyday is PS4 and Microwave.

 A definition of both of these Object is that Microwave Warm up your food and a PS4 lets you play games for e.g A game Fortnite.

What I didn't know about Technologies is that they are not all electricity because Spoons,Knives,Fork is a technology but it has no electricity. 

Technology is so useful and it makes life's easy.

 So Technology is a Useful purpose. 

There are lots of Technology Electricity like Cellphones,PS4,XBOX 1,Microwave, T.V. 

What I found challenging was coming up with different Technology resources because others had the same Technology answer as mine.

How I can improve what I found challenging is going to my house and looking around on what kind of Technologies I have at my house that noone has said. Today's lesson was very fun and it was good to know because I didn't know that much about our new topic of Technology.

Technology (Reflection)

WALT:Reflect on what we did at Technology

Yesterday on the 14th of June we had Technology and my buddy for this week was Perenara. What we made for this week was Quiches and the year 7 were making macaroni and cheese. What I liked about our food we were doing what that it was easy. I really enjoyed making the queches because it just took 5 minutes to make it and just put into the oven. What I found challenging in cooking was dicing the ham into small pieces. And the other thing I found challenging was folding the pastry and putting it into the muffin tray because my pastry was uneven.

Technology Reflection

WALT: Reflect on what we did at Cooking/Technology.

On the 7th of June we had Technology. I really enjoyed technology because we were in cooking and I love cooking. What we made for cooking was Hot Cakes with Chocolate Hersheys sauce and Whipped cream. My buddy was Aletheia because  I had to work with a year 8 buddy so I went with her. I really enjoyed working with her because she always talk while I have to do the cakes and flip it around to make it cook. Me and Aletheia was talking too much and then we forgot about the cakes and it go so burnt it just looked so black.

 So then we swap she made her own and it was so burnt and I made mine and some were golden coloured 2 were burnt. What I found challenging was making the cake as a circle because when I put it in it is so messy and it just looks like a triangle instead of a circle. I couldn't stop laughing because after Aletheia put her cakes on her plate she just eat the small ones she made. What I really enjoyed about her is that she is a hard worker that never give's up especially at eating.

Technology - Reflection

Yesterday the 8th of March we had technology and I was in Hard Materials and our teacher was Mr grundy. What we were making was Necklaces and I made a Cross and I am still working on cutting the cross. Here is the picture I am doing for my necklace. And if you didn't know why I did this necklace I did it for my sisters 16th Birthday.

What I found challenging was cutting the wood because it was always cricket and I was pretty nervous because it is very sharp and the machine can  stab you 25 times in a half of 1 second. The one thing I really need to improve is to don't get distracted while I’m cutting because I might cut my finger.

Technology Reflection

IALT:WOrk with my peers and communicate with others.

Today Room 9 & Room 10 went Technology and the was our last time at Cooking and we had to swap our Rotation so next week My group is going to Hard Materials.And I am going to be so happy because I haven't met Mr Grundy which is the Hard Material Teacher.So we made Chocolate Cake with whipped Cream.

The Ingredients we used was....

It was so fun because it was nearly the same like what we did last week because we all used that ingredient but except for the Oil.I really enjoyed working with George because he is a Hard Worker and he is a intelligent person.So we worked hard and we finished after it was baked we left it to cool down and we put whipped cream and it taste so yum.

Technology Reflection (Chocolate Chip Muffin)

IALT:Communicate with my peers to make the Chocolate Muffin.

Yesterday which was the 3rd of August Room 10 and Room 9 went Technology.And my group was Cooking which was Group 1 and Yesterday we made Chocolate Chip Muffin.My buddy that I had was George and he was a great helper.The ingredients that we used sound fun and nice.

Technology Reflection

IALT:Encourage my group to work as a team.


Today Rm 9 and 10 went to technology at Tamaki College and Today me George,Aumau was put in 3 groups so we Year 7 had to work in 3 and Year 8 had to work in 2s. .We were cooking chicken curry with Rice  and it tasted yummy The ingredients was.

1. 6 Chicken
2.Rice
3.Curry powder
4.Brown sugar
5.Water
6.Tomato Sauce

 First we had to get our frying pan and Mrs Tuipulotu put some tomato sauce and Curry Powder. All we need  was just to mix it and then put the 6 chicken on the Pot with water and wait for it to cook.After that we put the frying pan on top of the stove and wait for it to cook as well.We waited for about 10 or 9 minutes after it was cooked.We had too many work to do.After that and then we waited for the tomato sauce and  curry to be cooked. And then it was finished.Mrs Tuipulotu gave us rice with plates and spoons with fork.We put the rice first on the top and then put the chicken with the tomato sauce and the curry powder and then we put the chicken on top of the Rice.All we did is take our books and write down the ingredients and do a reflection.

Technology Reflection

Today Kia Manamanui  went technology at Technology. I was in the cooking group and that was my group and the other group were on the materials and that was group 2.Me and Tevita my friend was working together cooking a flap chap and the ingredients were 

125g of butter,

50g of sugar 

225g of oats  

4tsp of Golden syrup

then we had to mix it and melt it and then we got the oats and put them together and our equipment's were  table spoon,muffin tray,wooden spoon and we had to mix the maple syrup with butter and sugar with the oats.We had to put it in the oven and wait for fifteen minutes to get cooked Mrs Tuipulotu told us to write a reflection about it and publish it. And told us to share it with her and take a picture of the flap chap and finally the best part.

 The flap chap was cooked and finally done we took a picture and write and then we had to clean up our mess and get paper bags and put in our flap chap muffins in the paper bags.We enjoyed it,it was fun and yum. And we had to go back to the bus and go back to our school called Tamaki primary school.Hope you enjoy reading.Thank you to George for helping me as a buddy.

Technology Reflection(Pasta Salad)!!!!

IALT:Communicate with my group so they can feel happy about what they are doing.
At technology we made Pasta Salad.It was fun making pasta salad because I had 1 new buddy that was with us and it was Matthew.I really enjoyed making Pasta Salad because that was actually my first time making Pasta Salad.The first thing we did was putting our Apron on and washing our hand.Our 2nd in instruction was fill up the pot with 3 cups of water and then put  it to a pot and boil.When that's done put your macaroni inside and wait for it to be soft.When it's finished drain using colander and then wash it through cold water until it is dry.Dice the tomatoes and onions into tiny pieces.And then you dice the ham.Combine macaroni,tomato,ham,onion and also mayonnaise. Mix it all together and enjoy.
