WALT: Answer how people are affected by Natural Disasters

Today we had a question and it was How were people affected by Natural Disasters?? So my group which was Me,Toma,Grace,Kaleb and Hamish came up with a lot of answers because we were watching videos and getting some information and answer for the question. What I learned was more ways people can get affected by Natural Disasters.And over 55 people were killed at Christchurch from the earthquake and over 78 people were injured. This can be very dangerous and it will feel like a Nightmare.
What I found challenging was coming up with ideas in the beginning when Miss Komor asked us  a question about Natural Disasters and then we were watching videos and then I got some answers.

Inquiry Reflection ( Natural Disaster)

WALT: Research about natural disasters.

On the last block we have been working on our Inquiry which is about Natural Disasters. So we all had to do a question about Natural Disasters and my question was why does Natural Disasters occur??. 

So I have been researching and still haven't got a answer. The reason why I did Why Natural Disasters occur is because I don't know that much about it and I just want explore more fun facts about Natural Disasters. 

I have learned that Landslides is a Cliff,Mountain,Rock that can fall down and get you injured. Landslides are very dangerous it can also cause death. A definition that I have made with my group in our own words was a Landslide is a large amount of rock that collapses from a mountain or a cliff

Maths (Reflection)

WALT: Pick a activity to help with your Maths.

Today in the middle block Kia Manawanui had Maths. Some of the Kia Manawanui students were gone to Kapa Haka and some stayed. First we had an division sheet and we had to fill it in by 8 minutes. I found it pretty challenging because I don't really like doing maths but at least I tried my best. I did only 3 lines and a bit and I think I did pretty. 

After filling out our sheets I got put into a group and we were allowed to pick any Maths games to work on so we did a game that I called Answer The Dice. So how play is that you have 2 dice and you roll it on the table and if the 2 dice stop you have to Multiply the number on the 2 dice try get the answer. For e.g. If I roll the 2 dice and it is 6 x 6 that will equal 36 so it all about who gets it fast. I got 24 point and the other got under 10.

Rugby League game (Jagz)

WALT: Reflect on what we did at our ARL game

On the 21st of July 11:15  my League team Pakuranga had a match with an intense team Otahuhu. I was pretty nervous because they got  hard defense on us but I just knew we can put our head in the game and beat them even though we got small players but hard tacklers. I played second row because I had hard runs on my training so my coach put me as second row. I normally play center and hooker.

 Otahuhu was a really big team but we just need to believe in ourselves. So when they first kicked off our fullback had a run which is Demetrius his sidestep is so loud its like he is stomping on the floor. Then off Demetrius goes he got a very easy fast try and then we started to get heaps of tries and they had 12 we had 40 I scored one try from bumping off a player and ran threw the gaps. What I found challenging was tackling because I missed a tackle and the other team got a try.

WHAT POINT DO YOU THINK WE WOULD OF BEAT OTAHUHU??

My first blog for Term 3 2018

WALT: reflect on what we did in the School Holidays.

On the 21st of July in the middle of the night playing Fortnite with my friends day by day and not sleeping until the training days. Playing with a squad trying to get a dub getting carried and not even getting a Victory royale. 2 weeks off of school and now playing Fortnite not even wanting to go outside to play around playing with Toma and and laughing at his building and his microphone sound. Using my favourite skin Zoey and Squad Leader to play with to pretend i'm a girl and a pro. Fortnite have just took over my mind so when I wake up it will be around 5:00 am in the morning and I would just do my morning routine and then on my PC and play on it and my parents says I'm addicted to it.

 Season 5 was  out so I always wanted the battle pass because it was just eye catching. I had a small amount of V-Bucks to buy the battle pass because of my brother wasted my v-bucks on a Emote called Zany and Wiggle which was 1,000 v-bucks all together , I was so angry and mad . What I found challenging in Fortnite is trying to get a solo win with more than 14 kills because my highest kills on PC is 13 on season 4 but I only got 5 kills on season 5 because my PC is now going slow and it lags. 2 days left until school playing so good because it comes to school days making the best I can do to get a win on a duo and solo finally got 7 win in 1 day.

Meat Pie (Technology Reflection)

WALT:Reflect on what we did at cooking.

Yesterday the 5th of july kia manawanui had Technology and some people stayed to put up our beautiful work up on the wall for our ako evening. We were 20 minute late to technology because we were so busy working on our ako evening. What we made was meat pie for cooking. Our ingredients we had was Onion, Mince, Water, Flour, Herbs, Spices, Soya sauce and Pastry. 


So had to dice the onion and put it into the frying pan and fry it until it is soft after the onion is soft we had to add the mince and break it up into small pieces. Then we put 1/2 a cup of water into the mince and onion and it just looked disgusting. 

Then Miss tuipulotu mixed Spices,Herbs,Soya sauce and then when she put it into our frying man and she said mix it until its is smooth. We had to on or oven up to 180 celsius. After that we added the all the ingredients and put it into our pastry and leave it for 20 minutes.
